Get help with WebCT Vista through a variety of sources.

1. Internet and WebCT Vista Access Assistance

Contact the ADCS Technology Helpline for help with Internet and WebCT access problems such as:

  • You can't connect to the Internet using your University Internet username and password.
  • You can't access a Vista course site with your University username and password.
  • Your Web browser does not work properly when you use a Vista course site.
  • Chat or Whiteboard won't load.

Information on walk-in locations, helpline hours, and online help resources is available on the ADCS web site.

2. Course Site Content Assistance

Contact your course instructor or teaching assistant to receive help for problems such as the following:

  • You can log in to Vista, but are being denied access to the course site.
  • Links on a Vista course site don't work.
  • You cannot access a quiz.
  • You cannot view your quiz results.

3. Help within Vista

For assistance with Vista navigation or tools, try the Online Help. When you click Help, located on the Logo toolbar, Vista provides context sensitive help.

Help opens in a pop-up window. Help contents appears in the left frame. To see the complete table of contents, click Contents. Topics appear in the right frame. Click on a topic for more information. Click the Close button to close the Help window and return to the course site.

4. The University WebCT Home Page

The University's WebCT home page has a Student Support area that includes access to the online student orientation, handouts from the orientation, tips for online learning, computer support and Vista help.
