new: umcal online orientation

Don't have time to attend a class on how to use the UMCal calendaring system? No problem! The UMCal Orientation is now available online. You can view the orientation at any time.

To view the UMCal Orientation online, go to the UMCal Online Orientation page.

initiate your calendar account

Before you can use UMCal, you need to initiate your calendar account by going to http://www.umn.edu/
validate
and following these steps.

1. To access your personalized list of options at http://www.umn.edu/validate, you must type in your Internet ID (sometimes called X.500 ID) and your Internet password.

2. Once you have validated your access, you will get a list of options. From the "Other Accounts" section, select the link for "Calendar Account Options."

3. Click on the box to initialize your UMCal account, and click Submit.

You are now almost ready to use UMCal.

1. To download the software clients, go to the Get UMCal page.

2. To access Installation and User guides, go to the UMCal Support page.
