UITT System Requirements

What platforms are supported?

  • Microsoft Windows XP (SP1 and SP2)
  • Windows 2000 SP4 and later

What browsers are supported?

  • Internet Explorer 6
  • Firefox

How should my browser be configured?

UITT uses pop-ups throughout the application. It is easier to use the application if the built-in pop-up blocker is configured to allow pop-ups from UITT (*.oit.umn.edu). We recommend that you set up your browser to allow pop-ups from any University of Minnesota site.

Internet Explorer 6

  1. Go to Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker
  2. In the Address of Web site to allow field of the Pop-up Blocker Settings window, type “*.umn.edu” (without the quotations).
  3. Click the Add button and close the window.

Firefox

  1. Go to Tools > Options
  2. In the Options window, click on the Content tab (Web Features in Firefox 1.5).
  3. Click the Exception (or Allowed Site) button for Block pop-up windows.
  4. Type “*.umn.edu” (without the quotations).
  5. Click the Allow button, then Close, and then click OK.

How can UITT be accessed off-campus?

The University of Minnesota UITT installation is only available to University network addresses. From off-campus, UITT can be accessed by using Virtual Private Network (VPN).
