Share
This page describes how to create presentations
containing selected information from your Portfolio to be shared with others
both insideand outside the University system.
Share allows
you to create and preview presentations that offer different views of the
information, reflections, and additional materials you have stored
in Enter. It also lets you specify who can view these folders.
Creating a New Presentation
To share information with other individuals, you will first
need to create a presentation.
1. Click on
the Create a New
Presentation link under the Share section. This will bring you to a wizard that will help you create
your presentation.

2. Complete the
following information on the Set Up
Presentation screen:
- Title - Give the presentation a name
- Description - A brief description of the folder
- Expires - Determine whether the folder will expire. The Never Expires box must be
unchecked in order to fill in an expiration date
- Select
Template - You can choose from many different templates. The
template chosen will determine which elements are available for inclusion in the
presentation
- The Custom
Template allows you to choose from any of the
elements in your
portfolio, while the other templates specify only
certain elements to be
included in the presentation

3. Click the button.
4. You will
see a list of all of the elements that are available for you to share (depending
on the template you chose). Check a box next to the elements you would like
included in your presentation and click

5. Add the
people with whom you'd like to share the presentation
- For people associated with the University, enter their Internet ID in the User ID
box
- You can click on Directory Lookup or (pop-up) to search for an Internet ID
- For people not associated with the University, simply enter an
email address in the Guest

6. Click the button
after entering each User ID and/or Guest Email
7. When you
have entered all the names, click

boxes to notify viewers that they have access to a presentation, type a message,
and click .

Step 4: The Notify Viewers screen
The first time you share a folder with someone outside
the University, that person will receive an email containing instructions and
a username and password for accessing Portfolio.

If you want to view a presentation you have created, click on the
View/Edit My Presentations link on the left-hand side of the screen and
click on the button for the presentation. |
