The Valuables Registry is a secure database in Portfolio used to store information about an individual¿s valuables such as the make, model, serial number, description, and estimated value.

Why Use the Valuables Registry?

The Valuables Registry can assist in the recovery of lost or stolen items. If a registered item is lost or stolen, the authorities can be provided with pertinent information regarding the item, which can make investigation and potential recovery easier and more likely.

Registering Valuables

  • Click on the link for Enter/Update Data on the left side of the Portfolio screen
  • Click on the + sign to expand the Input Wizards section
  • Click on the link for Valuables Registry in the list of General Wizards
  • Click on the Item link in the Element Name column
  • Complete the requested fields and Save Changes

who can use portfolio?

All current U of M students, faculty, and staff may use Portfolio to:

  • Enter and view personal educational records
  • Share selected Portfolio elements with one or more individuals
  • View other people's Portfolios to which access has been granted

Individuals outside of the U of M community may:

  • View Portfolios to which they have been granted access by individuals at the U of M
