picture of a push pinwhat if your users don't have the latest version of Flash player?

Macromedia has a detection kit available that you can download free from Macromedia. The kit contains a Dreamweaver behavior and some example files with source code.

The detection kit helps you create a page that will appear before any Flash content and that will detect the user's configuration and redirect them to the appropriate page. If the user doesn't have the correct Flash player, you may direct them to a page that would help them upgrade their Flash player or you could direct them to a non-Flash alternative page.

    what is actionscript?

ActionScript is the scripting language of Flash, and is used for simple things such as starting or stopping a movie or making navigational elements work (example: which URL to go to when a button is clicked).

ActionScript is also used to create highly complex interactions that would be required for more advanced applications such as online games, e-commerce sites, and instructional media.
