Request Google Apps Training for your Group

Whether you want to investigate how Google Apps might assist you in collaborating with your colleagues or just have a few questions about transitioning to Google Mail and Calendar – we have a training option for you.

Google Calendar

  • Google Calendar: Effectively Managing your Calendar
    This 2.5-hour hands-on course introduces participants to Google Calendar, the calendaring system which is part of the Google Apps for the University of Minnesota. In addition to covering basic calendaring for individuals, we will also discuss scheduling other people and managing calendars for others.
  • Google Calendar: Effectively Managing your Calendar for Executive Assistants
    This 3-hour hands-on course introduces participants to Google Calendar, the calendaring system which is part of the Google Apps for the University of Minnesota. While this session covers the same topics as the Google Calendar: Basics course, it is intended to meet the specific needs of executive assistants and those who manage calendars for others. There is an extra thirty minutes for questions.

GMail

  • Gmail: Effectively Managing your Email
    In this 2.5-hour hands-on course participants will use the Gmail web interface to read, send, organize and manage email in the University's Google environment.

Google Apps

  • Google+ Overview (new)
    This 1-hour seminar introduces participants to Google+, which is a part of the Google Apps for the University of Minnesota. Google+ is a social networking platform that can be used to share and discuss news and ideas. Google+ also includes a built-in web conferencing tool called Hangouts.
  • Google Apps: Collaborating using Documents, Spreadsheets, Forms and Presentations (revised)
    This 3.5-hour hands-on course is a tour of some of the applications available within the University's Google Apps environment. This overview will demonstrate how easy it is to collaborate on a project with different people, and how the different applications are designed to facilitate this goal. This course focuses on Google Docs, including Forms.
  • Google Apps: Collaborating using Sites (new)
    This 3.5-hour hands-on course is a tour of Google Sites. This overview will demonstrate how easy it is to create a website and collaborate on it with different people. This course will also cover creating and using a Google Form in a Google Site.
  • Google Docs Overview
    This 1-hour seminar introduces participants to Google Docs, which is a part of the Google Apps for the University of Minnesota. Google Docs makes it easy to create, share and collaborate on spreadsheets, presentations, and documents.
  • Google Apps Learning Space Website
    This web site provides an opportunity to learn about using Google Apps for collaboration as well as to share related resources. It can be used as a self-paced learning opportunity, or to look up how to get a specific task done.
