Web Development: University Template Fundamentals

This 3.5-hour course covers the skills needed to apply the University Web Templates to new or existing web sites. Additionally, the course introduces other features of the templates that will aid in quickly creating more manageable and consistent web pages.

Topics include:

  • understanding the purpose of a University Web Template
  • reviewing media types in CSS
  • using headers and footers
  • adapting existing sites
  • understanding prepackaged CSS and CSS frameworks
  • incorporating search in a site
  • exploring optional template components such as top navigation and pre-made layouts

Prerequisites

Knowledge equivalent to:

This course is taught on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms using Dreamweaver CS4.

Fees

No fee. Registration required.
