UMContent: Contributor Basics

This 2.5-hour course covers the basic skills needed to add content to a web site created with UMContent, a web-based content management system available to University of Minnesota departments and colleges. UMContent makes it easy for site contributors to add and edit content without requiring technical skill in web development.

Topics include:

  • editing existing pages
  • formatting text
  • working with images
  • adding external and local links
  • adding new pages
  • using Manager to create and edit site sections

Prerequisites

Familiarity with using a Web browser.

Platform

This course is taught on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms using a supported browser to access UMContent.

Fees

No fee. Registration required.

Registration in this course is limited to University of Minnesota students, staff, and faculty.
