PowerPoint 2007: Presentation Basics

This 3.5-hour course will get participants started creating electronic presentations using PowerPoint 2007, a Microsoft Office application. Participants will learn to create a presentation from scratch, incorporate visual elements, and deliver it to others.

This course is currently available as a custom face-to-face session that can be arranged specifically for your group.

Microsoft e-learning courses on Office applications are also available at no charge to University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students.

Topics include:

  • creating and working with basic presentations
  • applying design themes for a consistent look
  • inserting graphics
  • using SmartArt to visually enhance text
  • printing handouts and notes
  • running a slide show
  • collaborating with users of earlier versions of PowerPoint

Prerequisites

Participants new to Office 2007 are strongly encouraged to view the 20-minute Microsoft Office 2007 Overview before taking this course.

Platform

This course is taught on the Windows platform using PowerPoint 2007.

Fees

No fee. Registration required.
